When I Grow Up books
When I Grow Up Books is a series of children’s books that were written by author T. S. Gee to encourage children to dare to dream and to pursue those dreams.
The vision for the When I Grow Up Books started with “Dress Up for When I Grow Up” and a little chocolate girl to represent young girls like the author used to be as a child.
Growing up, T. S. Gee didn’t have a lot of books with girls that looked like her. She wanted to give young girls a book that they could see themselves in, which eventually grew into the next book for boys and sparked the idea of the series with more books to come.
Meet the Author
T. S. Gee was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication. She has a passion for reading and writing that developed as a child.
She also realized at an early age that she loves to help people. Thrilled to see others pursuing their dreams, her goal is to reach out to children and families through her books to encourage them to pursue their dreams and to be the best that they can be. She believes your only competition is yourself and that everyone else should be viewed as a person that you can potentially help or someone who could help you.
